Scrotox, or Botox injection to the scrotum, is a new trend in men’s beauty.
Botox is a neurotoxin that paralyzes muscles and is widely used to flatten and remove deep facial wrinkles. There are two major types of facial wrinkles. The first is fine superficial wrinkles that originate from the skin layers. The second type of wrinkles are deeper and originate from the muscles under the skin, like frown lines and crow’s feet. One of the best ways to flatten these kinds of lines is to paralyze the muscles that made them with Botox injection and similar products.
There are muscles inside the scrotum’s skin that contract to bring the testicles closer to the body to make them warmer or relaxed, as well as to let the scrotum move away from the body to be colder. These muscles make the skin of the scrotum heavily wrinkled, something similar to the skin of the elbow.
Scrotox injections paralyze the muscles of the scrotum and make the skin loose, hanging lower with a soft and shiny texture. The process of the injection lasts for 15 to 20 minutes, and results show up in one or two weeks. Sometimes men may need another injection as a touch up to make sure all testicular muscles were injected and are relaxed.
The effect of a Scrotox injection lasts for 3 to 4 months. After 3 to 4 sessions of injection, the result will last much longer. The amount of Scrotox needed is 50 units.
Unlike wrinkles on the face that don’t have any functional use, the muscles of the scrotum have some functionality and are there for a good reason. Sperm production needs a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) or 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) below body temperature. The core body temperature is always higher than the testicles’ temperature. The muscles of the testicles regulate the temperature of the testis for the best sperm production environment. By paralyzing the testicle muscles with a Scrotox injection, the body loses the temperature regulation capability of the testes, and that is why a Scrotox injection may interfere with sperm production.
The idea of injecting Botox into one’s scrotum began when athletes like runners and cyclists had excessive sweating in their groin areas. Injecting Botox to the scrotum area reduced the sweating and increased their athletic achievements. Most likely someone noticed the change of the testes after injection and found it attractive, and that was the beginning of the Scrotox injection.
Loose and hanging balls touch the clitoris and vulva and other areas of a women’s genitalia during sex. The partners of those who injected Scrotox reported more enjoyable sex after this treatment. A loose and hanging scrotum also causes the penis to look longer and less covered by the scrotum. This alone is a great motivation for men to have a Scrotox injection.
This injection is done by a plastic surgeon under local anesthesia. After a couple of hours of downtime, the next day the client can continue with normal life without any problems.
